Picea Pungens Glauca "Hoopsii"

Picea Pungens Glauca “Hoopsii” seedlings, known as “Grafted Blue Spruce”, “Imported Blue Spruce”, and “Hopsi”, are renowned for their light blue color and long needles. They are a highly appreciated and frequently used variety in prominent locations and central points of landscape designs worldwide. They are produced using the grafting method.

Inci Nursery’s Grafted Blue Spruce seedling production program and R&D laboratory were initiated in 2007. For grafting, we prefer to use 5-year-old green Blue Spruce seedlings grown from seed in our nursery as rootstock. You can watch our nursery’s general activities on our YouTube channel:

Our Grafted Blue Spruce Saplings:

Our saplings, which are 30-40 cm, 40-50 cm, and 50-60 cm tall, are in 6-liter square pots.

Our saplings, which are 80-100 cm tall, are in 18-liter pots. Our saplings, which are 100-125 cm and 125-150 cm tall, are in 35-liter pots.

These pot sizes are sufficient to meet the soil requirements of the saplings. The size of the sapling determines the size of the pot it is in. If any sapling is in a pot that is too small, it indicates that the roots are not receiving enough nutrients.
